Which compound should I use at a specific track?
The answer to this question is dependent on numerous factors; riding style, set-up, temperature and conditions, type of motorcycle or displacement etc. Also, whether you want a quick lap time during a sprint race or consistent lap times over many sessions such as at a trackday must be considered.

What compound of tire is better in hot versus cold weather?
As a general rule, softer compounds cold tear more easily. In the cold weather, you should run a compound that is more hard than soft.
How many Heat Cycles can I get out of a tire?
Heat Cycles are not an issue with Dunlop racing tires as it would be with other brands. The more important factor is how much tread is left on the tire.
Stable fact: thicker rubber has more grip and develops more heat, thinner rubber has less grip and runs cooler.
After each session you have less grip. As the tire wears out, you have less and less grip. It could be slight or it could be large. Some riders call it heat cycling, but, in actuality, it is the rubber getting thinner and thinner.
It truly depends on how much the tire is worn out, and your specific demands for grip that determines when the tire is not usable for you.
How much life can I get out of my tires?
Using the data above regarding Heat Cycling, it’s really your judgment call. There are too many variables such as the bike size, bike setup, track, weather conditions, riding style and much more.
How old is too old for a race tire?
Race tires have a shelf life of 5 years from date of manufacture, providing they are stored properly and it is still unused.
Do I need to use tire warmers?
It is recommended that you use tire warmers on race tires. If you do not have warmers, the Q3+ or Q4 is our recommended option.
What tire pressure should I set my tires too?

How should I handle and store my track tires?
Race tires should never be frozen or stored near electric motors or near chemicals like fertilizer. They produce ozone and will deteriorate the tire.
Where can I purchase Dunlop race tires in Canada?
Tires are available at our retail store in Etobicoke, or trackside at any of our trackdays or racing events that we service.

Can I prepay for my tires and you bring them with you to the track?
You cannot prepay for your tires and have them brought to the track. You can either order and have them shipped directly to you or, buy them directly from our service truck at the track.
There is an abundant supply at the track. If you need something special, you can call and order ahead of time. Otherwise, get your tires at the truck early, if you are unsure if they will sell out.
